What is: A Domain name
This would be a web address like this www.brenchley.co.uk or www.brenchley.com
What is: Piggy backing
This is where you get space from a cheap or free provider. The address would look something like this www.brenteck.com/bikes
What are: E-mail addresses
An E-mail address is like a postal address, where you can send and receive these Electronic Mail messages. You can have a button on your page so when a customer wants to send you a message they just click on it and they are ready to send you the message.
What are: Animated gifs
An animated gif is a simple moving picture. For example the German Teckel (sausage dog) which pulls the banner across the top of the screen.
What are: Url links
Universal Resource Links are buttons or words which people can click on, which takes them to a different page of your site or to other peoples pages.
What are: Logos
These are a small still pictures which will most likely be placed at the top left hand corner of your page. This symbol can then be a useful url to your home page. (We can design a company logo for you or you can provide your current company’s logo.)
What are: Frames
Frames are ways of dividing the information on the screen. Also a very useful way to change parts of the screen without affecting others. (This is not recommended for Digital TV use).

These are messages that can move from left to right, right to left or bounce backwards and forwards.

This is a way to tell how many times your site has been seen by other people.
What is: Analogue clock
This is just a clock which can be placed anywhere on the page to show the current time on their computer.

These are probably the best way to obtain information about potential customers, clients or for collecting general information.

Very similar to a form but it can be more informal.

This can be a spoken message or background music to relax the customer, in the form of a wav file.

These are the best way of getting visual information across to the public but it does have it’s limits as it takes a long time to download.
What is an ISP:
An Internet Service Provider, such as Compuserve or AOL (America On Line) is the system that connects you to the Internet.
A credit card facility for your company on the net, so that your customers can purchase your products on-line just by entering their credit card details. We use secure servers for this so that credit details don’t get leaked into the wrong hands.
This is a great way for you to keep your clients informed about your business. This can be easily done by sending just one e-mail to the system and the system will send it to everyone in the group.
